As promised, here’s another NHB Toolbox opener.

It’s one of the notorious cocky/confident openers and should be used where you really need to shock the customer, jolt them to get their attention.

Works extremely well in a saturated market where there is a lot of noise.

This thing walks in the room and tells everyone to STFU and pay attention.

It’s known as the X opener, and it was written cica 2010 for a ClickBank launch that

The Breakdown:

Have you ever seen an X on a treasure map?

→ You can substitute this to say…Have you seen or had a client wire you a $25,000 check for you to write a sales letter?

*→ Have you ever weighed 120 pounds and been a size 3?

→ Have you ever been dumped?

This statement asks a hard hitting question that is either a YES or a NO. Go for something tha thas a yes.*

What if I told you , “You’re sitting on it…and you don’t realize it yet…”

→ This statement says that they already have what it takes but don’t realize it yet. It makes them feel good and gives them hope.

→ So you can say…”What if I told you, that you have everything that it takes to make 10, 15, 25k per gig as a copywriter, and you don’t realize it yet?”

→ Or “What if I told you that you’re watching a video that’ll show you how to exactly that and you don’t realize it yet?”

What if I told you you’ve just stumbled onto a goldmine beyond anything you could’ve ever dreamed up…

→ This statement opens the doors in to the new world, a new life, where anything is possible. Their wildest dreams and desires are about to become real.

→ So you can say somethig like “What if I told you, that you just stumbled onto the only place in the entire industry that’s beyond anything you could’ve dreamed of as a copywriter?”

→ or “What if I told you…you’ve just stumbled to a secret that’s going to allow you to finally lose 10, 20, or even 30 pounds without BLANK and it’ll BLANk beyond anything you could’ve dreamed up”…

You have no clue as to the power of what you are about to be offered…

But whether you know it or not…

→ This hits hard to take away any thoughts they might have about what it is. You think you know, but that ain’t it chief!

→ So you can say something like “ you have no clue as to the opportunity of what you’re about to be offered, but whether you know it or not…

→ Or you might say “You have no idea as to the new life you’re about to experience, whether you know it or not…

You ARE just 10 clicks away from..

→ This line tells them what it is they’re away from…software, system, formula, community, opporutnuty, tool…typically in something that allows for the outcome they want.

→ You can say something like “You are just 10 steps away from” or “just 3 minutes away from” or “ 3 clicks away from”, etc…then go into “new or different” that allows for the outcome to take place, that’s bigger and better than anything else they’ve seen or of heard before. Really amps up that “wow, holy shit I can’t believe this is happening for me”.

→ Then it’s the entry into the new universe…”We’re talking about (what are you really talking about here?) make it hit…

→ Where even the…here you put who else, like people of lesser value and skill are being able to crush it using this.

→ This statement says when…timeline language (for those in NHB+ you know how powerful this is from our call we did yesterday), this indicates that it’s going to happen…NOW, not later, not in the future, but NOW. NOW is one of the most poweful words in copywriting.

→ Then it’s the classic “WITHOUT” this removes all the things that suck and doing the work, so all the things that are like “ugh shit I really don’t wanna do that” this pulls tha tright now, leaivng nothing but green pastures of good feels in front of them.

→ This statement goes into as to what they’re going to be given. Remember, if you give them something, the response ALWAYS goes up. They must get more than they give, and here we give them something.

→ But it tells them that it’s no more time to play…no more fucking around, it’s time to crush it. SO it goes into “You aint’ just an amateur copywriter any more…You’re about to step into the big leagues and that’s why this MAY NOT be for you…” The MAY NOT leave a door open that it may be for them, which it is…so good.

→ Now we get to a little bit of “I know that you need me more than I need you”. This shifts the entire balance of power to you. Because it pushes away 90% of people. It also challenges the audience that they’ll be scared which intrigues them even more. Mostly for male audiences of course, for women, make it gentler.

→ So you can say “I’m betting that 90% of you won’t qualify to get this”….my suggestion is go back to joining copywriting masterminds hoping to get clients and wait for someone to reach out to you on Facebook after you’ve made dozens of posts offering to work for free. See how much soul this has? It hits deep.

→ OR you say…”I’m betting 90% of you won’t even try this, because you don’t really want to lose weight”…”My suggestion is go back to doing keto, counting calories or taking snake oil supplements.

→ The line “and wait” that makes them feel like they’re going back in line, which you can also say “and get back in line and wait your turn.

Because…

if every strategy you know of for making money online MUST involve the words Clickbank and Google…

This ain’t for you…

Some interesting notes on this offer…this was the first time we actually went to Madison Avenue and found someone who was a pro at calibrating vocal tonality and got them to coach the person speaking on it.

That allowed us to create massive vocal projection and that’s one of the best-kept secrets I never shared outside of my close circle of marketing friends.

The fact that your tonality will greatly affect your conversion rates.

And those that are natural masters of it tend to crush it on webinars, VSLs and anywhere else…

…You can have the best copy with shit tonality and it won’t do well.
